today,1/31/2009, I saw an ad on craigslist for houses for rent 2200 sq. ft. only 550 per month. It seemed to good to be true and that usually means it is. I called the number provided only to hear that i was the 12th caller in line to speak to a representative. I was curious enough to wait because ....well...it sounded too good to not wait. After 20 minutes of waiting I finally got Colin on the line. He started telling me that they were a company that helped people find preforeclosing homes that needed no credit check because the equity already in the home was the security and that there would be no closing costs or down payments needed. He told me there were a few stipulations such as not on ssi or ssd, not on section 8, that i was employed and could make double the rent i was looking for. when all that was checked off he then told me there was a 199.00 charege for the title searches for me to look at their properties available. He also told me that there was 1144 homes within 20 miles of the city I live in (tucson,az). He also said i could be in a new home just paying like a normal renter but it would be renting to own and that my name would be on the title of the house. He gave me a direct number to call him back because i was still not too sure. Something just doesn't feel right but I was not given any information to make me feel that way. Now I looked here at the BBB and read the last review and the company's rating and Now I wonder even more. As i said before....If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is but it did really sound good.
