I took my 2005 BMW to get the wheels aligned at Tyermans. They told me they will check the alignment for me and do the alignment for me if it needs it. I waited for about 15 minutes and they told me that the alignment was really off. They showed me the printout showing everything in red zone. They told me they would fix the alignment for me. After they aligned the vehicle they said they got most of the areas in the green zone but there were still some areas in red and that I needed to take my car to BMW service because there was something else wrong that was making the alignment off. So I paid them $95.00 and immediately went to BMW. When I got to BMW, I showed them the paper work from Tyermans and they told me that Tyermans did the alignment for a 2006 model and mine was a 2005 model. This was a huge problem because the 2006 model is a complete body style change from the 2005. Bmw told me they did not know what they were doing and to get my money back, so I paid BMW $145.00 for them to align it correctly. I went back to Tyermans and showed them that there alignment print out clearly shows it for a 2006 and mine was a 2005, so they were the ones that messed it up and I wanted a refund. However, they refused to give me the whole refund and gave me back $10.00 out of my $95.00. They said they normally charge $85.00 for an alignment check. So, I basically paid $85.00 for an INCORRECT alignment check. Not fair and not good business!!!

I just noticed this review was posted. I checked my data base for BMW’s that were in my shop with the customer name being “Loni” and found that a 2005 BMW was in our shop on 10-20-06 with that customers fist name. This was 5 years ago, so comments below are based on the notes from the original invoice.
The customer came to our shop and said their car was pulling to the right when driving. The car was put on our alignment rack to get the alignment readings. The tires had wear from being out of alignment. The alignment readings showed that the car was out of alignment but only in such a way to cause tire wear, and not to cause the car to pull. It was determined that the car was pulling because of the condition of the tires, not because of the alignment. Defective or worn radial tires can cause a car to pull in one direction. The car needed an alignment to correct the tire wear issue but the tires would have to be replaced to correct the pull. The customer was informed of this and wanted the car aligned with the understanding that it would still have a pull until the tires were replaced. The charge was $85.00, not $95.00.
I have no notes about the customer returning and wanting a refund. As far as the customer’s accusation that we aligned his car to 2006 specs instead of 2005 specs, I looked up the specs for both years and they are identical, so it would not have made a difference.
We have been in business since 1948 and have had no complaints from the BBB. We always do our best to resolve any issues that arise with our customers and have an excellent working relationship with our customers.
Our alignment machine is a state of the art Hunter Laser Aligner which is calibrated on frequent basis to insure accuracy. This is a highly respected machine in the auto industry and is used by many dealerships including BMW dealerships.
