We started with this company in 2007 referred to us by another person who used to work with them. Like any transactions, everything was put in good faith at the beginning. We signed papers including a POA with them to transact business for us with GOOD FAITH that they will help us. In return we have to pay them monthly AS A RENT to postpone your deed of sale. But they don’t pay anything to your monthly mortgages. Meaning, your monthly mortgage will continue on top of the monthly rent you are paying them. Then came the loan modification programs, to which they strongly discouraged us to do, because they said “what for, you will be paying the same amount of mortgage before you went to us to help you”. Until the time when we wanted to get out of their service, they wont release our title unless you pay them of a certain amount they want to charge you. We were surprised, also to find out that the power of attorney that we signed, which we never saw and they claimed will just be used to transact business with the mortgage bank was written as IRREVOCABLE, meaning they will do everything not to let go of the property you signed up with them. The person who referred us to them on the other hand advised us to get out of their service since they themselves were not able to save her house. At the very end, we lost our house, because we could not have them release our title which they want to get paid first before doing so which is an impossible amount on top of the monthly payment they received from us. If you are gonna check legally, yes they are holding all legal papers, but its expensive to hire a real estate lawyer, so we decided just to let go of this property. My advise is, for you to study all the papers that you will sign from them first. They will outsmart you, but because you are in dire need, you will believe everything that they will say. And the best thing also to do is to speak to your lender directly and talk to them. There are a lot of programs available that could help people facing foreclosure. Stay away from this company as much as possible.
