Moving deposit scam
|
Contacted Ryder Moving and Storage via internet and phone beginning of April with an agreed pickup date 3 months later – June 28th. Ryder demanded and was paid $ 582.00 as deposit and for contractually agreeing to date and terms. On day of pickup at storage facility, despite a confirmation call from company, truck never showed up. An internet scam – they do not answer phones nor return calls. Objective is to scam unsuspecting victims out of the deposit money.
