I purchased a Toyota Yaris from Roswell Toyota in Roswell, New Mexico. The car was used but the salesman, Cody said the used car would be fully certified with a new set of tires. Cody said that if we wanted to wait for the vehicle to be certified and put on the new tires then he would deliver the car to us in Ruidoso in a couple of days. I thought the new tires would be worth the wait so I waited. I inquired about the tires when Cody delivered it. A couple of days later I had a flat. The car was certified but no tire iron was in the vehicle. Come to find out that that the tires they put on the 2008 Toyota Yaris were used 2006 tires off a used Scion. At first I said, No there can't be used tires they said they were going to be new. When I called the Sales Manager about the tire he said quote: "We'll they are new to the car" and then he laughed". He then said all you’re getting it a new tire iron and that's it. Today May 9th, 2011 I went and talked to the Sales Manager, Jim Collins, he gave me the tire iron and said it was too bad about the tires but he would do nothing. I showed Mr. Colllins the 2006 date on the tires and told him there was a five year law on used tires. The service manager said he could still get around the five year rule. We trusted Roswell Toyota and then they distastefully lied to us. I cannot believe I was lied to and then laughed at by management. I just wanted them to do the right thing and they decided to laugh in my face. I will tell everyone I know not to go to this dealership because they are dishonest.
