Property Manager Scam

Paul Woods used to be our neighbor, and "managed" our rental home when we moved out. He would regularly be late with rent payments, and would have an extensive story as to why the money was late (son forgot to mail the check, it got lost in his car, he
wasn't near a bank, etc). He would usually get the money to us in time, but most recently, he kept the security deposit of our previous renter, and since we were legally required to pay it back to the renter, we were on the hook for it. He now owes us 1100$
for that deposit, and I haven't heard from him in a long time. His phone no longer registers his business name in the VM message.
