Below is my final exasperated response to Proactiv's Customer Service department. I tried to get something other than a form letter response in the e-mail previous to sending this, but its like one starts all over again with each representative one gets. I am so frustrated that I am paying the $90+ dollars they added well after I had cancelled both the order and the credit card.
"If someone were to look at the notes of the last person I talked to, everything was ok and I needed only to send back the form he sent. I did that, and you act as if the discussion never occurred.
What is irritating to me is that I have been trying to resolve this since Apr-May. I did not receive a response to my e-mail canceling it at that time because I later found out, "The only way you can cancel is by phone." You only quit sending it because I cancelled my credit card.
You choose to make it near impossible to cancel standing orders. You are inconsistent on reponding to requests. You send the stuff to an old address of my daughter's and expected me to still pay for it. It is a horrible customer service model. It smacks of a company that knows it will squeeze extra money out of its customers, then tie up any corrective action to ensure it keeps the money.
Were it not for the fact that I recently came out of bankruptcy, I would simply continue to ignore your bills and threats. As it is, a negative report of any amount on my credit report is damaging. I am held hostage to paying a bill for which I don't owe.
You seem to be consistent in your practice based on even a cursory scan of the internet. Yes, I will pay it. The check is in the mail, literally."
