Brought my lawnmower in on 7/21/11. It needed 2 nuts & bolts. Chris said they didn't have any small enough so they would enlarge the holes & put 2 nuts & bolts in & that wouldn't take much time at all. I called 5 days later & was told it would be ready either today or tomorrow. Meanwhile what they didn't say was that they chose to order the correct size hardware & it hadn't come in yet, so how can they say when it would be ready???? I called the following week & was told it would be ready next week. The next week I went in & was told tomorrow or the next day. Got in a discussion about how can you tell me when it will be ready when the parts aren't even here yet & they got defensive & rude & tried to make me look like an idiot. After 3 weeks (with my yard going to seed & having to pay someone to mow) I went to the shop to take my mower home. Chris said the parts just came in & it will be ready soon. I said no way, I'm taking it with me now. He got real nasty & then charged me a "finding fee" of $15, insisting that I pay cash. Ridiculous, cause they didn't FIND anything - I told them what the problem was when I first brought the darn thing in! So, I paid them & he told me to never come back again. I said you couldn't pay me to use this shop again & went outside, as instructed, to wait for my mower by their garage door. Well, they couldn't find it. It took a long time. My son & I watched these morons scratching their heads, looking at the paperwork & asking me what kind of mower it was when finally it was located outside where it had sat in the rain. Finally, we're getting it into the truck & this very nasty Chris comes around the corner yelling at us to get out of here or I'll call the cops & charge you with trespassing. Good trick, we were parked on the CITY STREET LOADING MY MOWER THAT THEY TOOK OVER 10 MINUTES TO FIND. Here's the killer - my son measured to see what size bolts it needed, went to the hardware store, put them on, & mower was good to go in one hour including travel, shopping & labor time. We would have done that from the get-go, but Chris advised us against it, saying whatever hardware we got would not be good enough & would only fall off again. WRONG! We mowed my very large yard for the rest of the summer & those nuts & bolts are still there. DO NOT USE MOORE'S SMALL ENGINE REPAIR. I've spoken to several other people since this happened who claim to have had very negative experiences as well.
