Lexus Santa Monica: Don't buy a car there or one that has been serviced there!!
I purchased this car because 1) Carfax showed CLEAN records of service from Lexus Santa Monica and 2)I spoke with Mike Carter, Service Advisor, at Lexus Santa Monica and he told me "we've only done oil changes and routine recalls on this vehicle". I asked him specifically "Do you show any problem with the engine, the transmission, any problems at all?" He said, "NO, NONE." His statements matched with CARFAX. I then buy the car from an independent dealer, BUT when I take it into to be serviced at Lexus, they tell me "Your car has Oil Sludge. It shows on our INTERNAL Lexus National Service History report. I am totally SHOCKED!! What else can a consumer do but rely on one of the LARGEST LEXUS DEALERS to accurately report repairs/service records to CARFAX. LEXUS SANTA MONICA: It is UNETHICAL to NOT report OIL GEL/SLUDGE! They are selling USED cars to CONSUMERS, INDEPENDENT DEALERS, at AUCTION and NOT REPORTING the TRUE/REAL/ACCURATE service records. CARFAX shows 4/4/2011: Washed/Detailed. CARFAX shows 6/10/2011: Maintenance inspection completed. Tires checked. Washed/detailed. HERE'S THE BIG PROBLEM: LEXUS keeps their own "INTERNAL/TRUE" Service history for each car. LEXUS NATIONAL SERVICE HISTORY SHOWS THE TRUTH: 4/4/2011 Repair #0924452 Tech Found vehicle has NO oil. Dip stick dry when checked. 6/10/11 Repair #0930538 >>>OIL GEL. Customer declined repairs. No service recored. >>>LEXUS SANTA MONICA: DOES NOT REPORT PROBLEMS TO CARFAX and LIES TO CONSUMERS WHEN THEY ASK!!

George notified of problem, said he would look into it, but NO call back. Big Business = Big Liars.
