Terrible Repair Service
|
I bought an Invicta watch the last day on a Carnival cruise. Carnival would not refund or replace watch since I had already gotten off ship and the day of departure the shop is closed so after several calls to Carnival they tell me I must go through the Invicta repair center. Brand new watch and it costs me $21 dollars to ship the watch and $28 to repair under warranty but I thought I would really like the watch till I learned the issues with their repair site. It runs for 3 or 4 hours and quits and then I reset the time and it quits again. I sent the watch in for repair to their FL facility on March 21,2012 and I did not realize that the reapirs then get shipped overseas when they get enough to send. Checked the website 5/8/2012 and it now has a date of August 20, 2012. 5 months of my one year warranty will be gone sitting at their location. Obviously this tells me that they have a HUGE amoount of watches coming in for repair so the quality must be terrible. My first and last Invicta watch. Time to buy a new watch since nobody seems to know for sure when I will see the watch again. All I get through email is 90 days once it arrives overseas.
