Deceptive Add On Tactics
|
I initially had a pleasant experience with HB Ford, they were friendly (Rozz, Tony, Aaron), but I found out after I received my first financing statement that services that had not been discussed were added to my agreement. A $2850 extended warranty, a $1250 paint and upholstery protection package, and some sort of windshield replacement warranty (which I don't need as it duplicates my car insurance). Sales punted this to the Finance dept there, and Jordan in the Finance dept punted it right back to sales, no resolution between the two. Tony was able to get the warranty removed, but not the protection package. I came to learn from talking with other dealers that it was Finance who deceptively added these on without discussing, disclosing, asking, or explaining any of them as it was Jordan's responsibility to inform me of all of it. I did reach a very helpful person in the business office, Yuri, and she was able to process the refund of the warranty and protection packages, but not the windshield warranty. I have wanted to speak to their general manager Omar but he has dodged my calls and not returned messages. The car I got there was great, but I don't recommend dealing with them at all, if you must, be super careful every step of the way and don't trust what anyone does or doesn't tell you.
