Review 2/6/2009
|
For past two days (feb 5 & 6, 2009) have received via FAX attempts two to three times per hour, automated phone calls from Global Reach International using phone number (213) 430-4262. On February 6th (friday), the continued obnoxious calls generated by them have forced me to put JUNK BLOCKER into effect. Figured they were some kind of scam telemarketing firm which prompted a quest search to the Better Business Bureau.
I don't know of anyone who appreciates calls starting at 7:40 am in the morning and continuing on an hourly basis to the point of annoying and these folks should be seriously looked into if possible. Read other findings which say that somehow the callback number used is not even to Global Reach International. Instead it is under an entirely different name which is some kind of consulting firm. Agree with Better Business Bureau. Do not give these folks calling any money via credit card or send them cash for anything, period! Again, they've tried to fax through as I finish this review. Next step, contacting the US Federal Government to file a complaint. Found you can call the US Federal Trade Commission at 1-(888) 382-1222 for having your home phone number blocked via the "Do Not Call" registry to stop nuisance telemarketing calls for 5.5 years. My overall rating for Global Reach International is 0 but seems one star cannot be removed. It is unfortunate that whoever is doing this is misusing another firm's name (according to the present BBB report on file). Receiver on other end of phone line, beware.
