I started my search for a contractor to work on our small front bathroom in July 2012, as my kids would be out of school for the summer and timing was good. After interviewing 3-contractors, after checking the BBB, their prices ranged from VERY low to HIGH. I didn’t feel 100% comfortable with those persons that I interviewed. I didn’t get that warm feeling of trust and of course those horror stories came to mind….in disappointment, I put my project to the side for the time being.
Then in October 2012, I decided to resume my search for a contractor, as I wanted to get the bathroom done before Christmas, as it severely required updating. In my search, Avi from Finesse Remodeling was the first one to call me to make an appointment. Since I work during the day, he offered to meet in the evening. I was VERY impressed with this enthusiasm, the documentations he had on hand, samples of jobs and photos on his laptop, and most of all, he seemed organized, sincere and honest, which were all VERY important to me.
Although I had my mind set to hire Avi, I had one more interview the next day. I know Avi was somewhat disappointed he wasn’t able to “seal the deal” the same night, but he knew I wanted to talk to the other guy too, since I already made the second appointment. Two days later, Avi follow up and I agreed to have him do the job, as I liked his “follow through” and not simply giving up. The other guy was actually few hundred dollars cheaper, but I didn’t get that “feeling of trust”, as I did with Avi.
Avi showed he really wanted to do the bathroom project and his number one priority was to make me truly happy with the remodel and stay within my budget. After getting the paperwork completed, his team was ready to start. They gutted the whole bathroom; removing the bathtub, wall tile, vanity, floor tile, and the very last item was the toilet. His team/crew where VERY polite, kept the bathroom door closed while they worked, put down thick butcher paper on the floor, to keep the entrance area clean. Avi even had his team put up plastic shielding from the ceiling to the floor, as I wanted the dust contained as much as possible.
Avi made sure they kept to their schedule and worked on Saturday’s, when I asked. When I had a question or concern, I would call him and he would call back within the hour. If it wasn’t too urgent, I would text Avi and he would either text or call back. When Avi gave his “word”, including verbal commitments, he meant it and stood by it. He would follow through and he gained my trust.
He is TRULY “customer service” oriented, EXTREMELY trustworthy (not just a sales pitch), and professional! Avi and his Team were EXCELLENT!
