They treat Armed Service Members like dirt!
|
I purchased a used vehicle about 3 months ago. The finance department convinced me that I needed the added protection of an extended warranty. I drove across country to Fort Bliss, TX recently and took my vehicle in for an oil change. Apparently, the nut that the oil drain plug screws into broke off (inside) the oil pan and the oil plan needs to be replaced. No problem. After I re-read my protection plan I call Fidelity Warranty Service. In the 20+ years I have been in the U.S. Army I have NEVER been treated with such irreverence and disdain! I was treated like dirt initially, and when I asked to speak with the individual's supervisor I was treated even worse!
My "Royal Protection Plan" (Gold+ coverage) specifically lists the oil pan as being covered. However, the individual(s) I spoke with insisted that I explain to them how the oil pan failed "mechanically". How many ways can an oil pan fail "mechanically"? THERE AREN'T ANY MECHANICAL PARTS IN THE OIL PAN!! I don't think ANYBODY should be treated the way I was. I guess I am so used to honoring my commitments and obligations that I kinda expected the same in return. Nice job guys......
