This guy came to give us an estimate on work with our back yard and driveway. As soon as my wife came into the picture, he started becoming evasive and vague. In the end, he gave us some ridiculously vague estimates -- i.e., "$1,000 to $5,000" -- and refused to write ANYTHING down.
No written estimate? No job, buddy! He even had the gall to tell me I could call him. (While my wife was standing there, which leads me to believe his strange behavior was motivated by her presence.) Call you? No thanks, but I'll search the internet for sites doing reviews on your work. I wish I hadn't bothered calling these people. Unprofessional, to say the least.
