Parking lot gouges patrons! The parking lot on Euclid and California in Pasadena, CA has big signs but the font that informs patrons about fees is too small too read at night. The lights in the lot are very dim and the sign with the fees is under a big metal lock box making it harder too read. I have been there many times during the day and was told that parking is free up to 3 hours. The owner charges a $4 parking fee for 10 hours at night and weekends but if you do not pay it the penalty fee is 10 TIMES the cost of parking. The penalty is $40! And they state on the "ticket" that the fee must be paid in 15 days. The owner needs to re-word his sign from " Free parking 8 - 5pm fee evening and weekends, go to other sign to read fees." to "Parking fees after 5 pm and before 8 am." Not too mention that the parking lot is not safe because the lighting is too dim. How sad it is that people are greedy and inconsiderate of others.
