I dropped my car at Crevier BMW Dealer in Santa Ana CA for Fuel Pump service on Saturday May 22nd, 2010. On Monday I called Crevier dealer at about 2pm to check the status of my repair for the fuel pump. Due to my dismay, the dealer has not even begun working on my car. On Monday May 24th I came by to pick up my personal belongings while the car sat there and waited for an available technician.
On Tuesday May 25th , I received a phone call from the service adviser by the name of Daniel Canfield informing me that the battery needs to be replaced at a cost of $730 before any technician will check on the Fuel Pump.
Even though it is silly, I have to inform Mr. Canfield that my car is still under Mfg. warranty up to 50k miles or 4yrs whatever come first. The current mileage on my 2008 car is 41k. This is totally unacceptable for a dealership of caliber to have incompetent employees running the shop. In short, just a pure rip-off!
The keys were probably left inside and the battery was drained over night. Instead of giving it a quick charge so they can further diagnose the problem, I was asked to pay for a new battery which I simply refused to do.
Unhappy with the service and attitude by the dealer, I told them that I will be coming by to pick up my car. Upon arrival, I opened my trunk to put my belongings back. To my disbelief, the trunk lining and panels were taken apart in a complete mess! I was appalled by the service department from top to bottom. The car was not washed even thought it is was a mess made by the dealer. I was speechless! Words cannot describe how I feel at this point. Crevier tried to take advantage of me and I will no longer visit this dealership for any service. It’s a shame that people like this exist and get away especially in this economy.
