Taking my business elsewhere
|
I purchased an opal bracelet, opal ring, and strand of pearls. The ring and pearls are amazing and I am in love with them, but I had issues with the bracelet. The prongs kept getting snagged on my clothing, so I took it to my local jeweler to see what could be done. He examined the bracelet and told me I'd be better off returning it. He said the prongs were too flimsy; they would keep poking up and would eventually break off and I'd lose stones. In addition, he told me the bracelet I paid $1700 for was really about $900 worth of craftsmanship. I contacted Angara, it was 60 days after I purchased it, and was told I was past the refund date and they would not refund or exchange it. I asked if I could return it for credit against a higher priced purchase and was told I had no recourse.
My advise? If you purchase from Angara, take the piece to a reputable jeweler upon receipt and have it looked at so you can return it within 30 days if need be.
I am so disappointed with this experience. Although I love my ring and my pearls, I will not buy from Angara again as I do not feel they can be trusted with my business.
