Hello everyone, be very careful and learn from my mistake. I purchase a very nice SUV from American auto on June 25,2010. My husband and I test drove the auto and find some issues that needed to be fixed. The brakes and something with the steering wheel. The sale person who helped us was very nice at first. The took the issues with concern and had the onsite mechanic and himself took the auto for a test drive came back and said yes the brakes feel funny. The mechanic checked the suv out and said that the brakes are good and the noise that we were hearing was the tire so the mechanic checked the tire then Alan came back and said everything is fine its the rotors and the breaks feel funny because the rotor had dust from the suv sitting for so long. We purchased the suv and the next day took it to our mechanic and the result was rotors are worn real thin and the alternator drive belt was cracked and the drive belt idler pulley need to be removed and replace. I called the sales person who helped me keep in mind I said the was very nice before the bank funded the loan after that I couldn't get him to call me back the said his manager said the can't do anything until the remainder 1500 of the deposit was paid as if we are so stupid I told him I would stop payment on the 3 remaining checks until they fixed the problems. Then the said ok bring the suv on Monday on my way home from work I almost got into a car accident because the brakes went out. Now I can't get Alan to call me or my husband back so I had aaa drop the suv back to them. Please be very careful never sign until all your concerns and issues are taken care of. I GAVE THEM 2 STARS BECAUSE I DID GET A GOOD DEAL ON THE SUV
