Airsoft Megastore has the worst customer service that I have ever seen. My son worked all summer to save up enough money to purchase a Kar 98 gun. When the gun arrived, it was defective out of the box. The bolt would not work properly. After reading the manual that came with the gun, we were told to field strip the gun. We discovered that the spring that goes in the plate under the chamber was broken. We contacted Airsoft and received no sympathy whatsoever from the company. We were told that we would have to pay for return shipping, even though I had purchased the additional insurance. After sending the Kar 98 back to the company, they inspected it and informed us that their technician determined that my son had modified and abused the gun; therefore, we would have to pay for a new gun at an additional cost. The suggestion is absurd for two reasons: 1) I was with my son, and he did not abuse or modify the gun in any way. 2) If the bolt broke the spring that loads the shell, then the spring had to be raising up too high for the bolt to strike it in the first place (hence, defective out of the box). So, my son is left with a gun that he has paid for, that came defective out of the box, and now, has to pay additional money to have the gun replaced. Simply put, Airsoft Megastore is a company that has no concern about customer care and support whatsoever. I have no intention of ever purchasing any other product from them ever again. And I would recommend that perspective customers carefully consider all of the many reviews about poor customer support before making a purchase.
