I almost had a very bad experience with (ADVANCE SERVICES) but thanks to my fiancé having that funny feeling that we all get when something just dose not seem right. I outsmarted them. Well here goes my story. Me and my fiancé had been looking for a home to rent. My fiancé found (ADVANCE SERVICES) in our local pennysaver. There was a picture of a really nice home advertised. It caught our eye. So we called the number which was the first time we called (ADVANCE SERVICES) we spoke to a women that asked us to come in so that we could find out more information regarding the home we liked. So we did. When we got to the office there were ladies at desks with phones and no computers. Their business cards only read(ADVANCE SERVICES) and not what kind of service they offer. The women explained that they charge $180.00 for them handling paper work. Like the application. The women said that the $180.00 would cover paper work and hold the home we liked so no one no one could see it. Once the application was approved that it would be ours. So we said OK. I go out my check book and the women said they don't accept checks. So I got out my atm debit card. She then said the atm machine was down. She asked me to give cash or money order. I then asked who to make money order to? The women said leave it blank....So her boss could feel it out once her boss knew the landlords name of the home..But then we thought to ourselves (wasn't the $180.00 for the paper work????Any way we told the women we would be back tomorrow with cash or money order. She said she would go ahead and hold the house and not let anyone see it. Well my fiancé could not sleep the whole night and when morning came he said forget it go get you're application with personal info back and tell her nevermind. So I went back the next day got my info back told the women nevermind and left. My fiancé called me with the address of the home we liked. The women had gave it too him the first day we called. So he could see it from the outside. So he asked me to go by and maybe I would see owner so I could ask if the home was connected to(ADVANCE SERVICES) I found home and spotted the cleaning lady. I asked the women who I could talk to if I was interested in home. The women gave me address to different agency (not ADVANCE SERVICES) so I played dumb went to this agency that the cleaning lady gave me the address to. So I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called the very next day and repeated the adress. The man said same thing (nope this house has allready been ready for move in the people move in on the first. Thats my story......(LET THIS BE A LESSON TO ANYONE WHOM READS THIS IF SOMETHING DOSE NOT SEEM RIGHT IT PROBABLY IS NOT)I do not know what there plans were by pretending to rent me a house that was allready rented...nor what their intensions were for my $180.00. Today I called the number that I first reached women from (ADVANCE SERVICES)and yes you guessed it disconnected.........
