Subcontractor Beware!

Big Mike's Plumbing was called out on 6/17/2015 by Ben Toiloa for an emergency at Harbor Freight located at 1700 E Highland Ave San Bernardino, CA. Upon arrival we noticed the backhoe operator was intoxicated and he had ripped a 2 inch water main galvanized pipe out of the ground. We put our crew in the hole and hand dug the rest when another plumber was getting parts (mechanical couplings and 2 inch line). We made the repair, energized the line, shaded the new pipe with dirt and gave Ben the receipt and was told to pick up a check the next day at his office. When we arrived at his office the office was shut down. We called the office and where told that Ben would bring a check by the office the next day. We continued to call and leave messages. When we did get in contact with the office we where again promised a check to be delivered to our office. After not being paid for more then five months we finally filled a small claims case against them. We where given a check by Ben Toiloa when he was served with the small claims case paperwork. The check was returned twice by the bank and we are still pursing the small claims case.
Please beware do not conduct business with this company if you want to be paid!!!
